Designed by Renzo Piano, the Pediatric Hospice of Bologna represents one of the highest expressions of architecture in the service of care. A project that combines functional rigor and human sensitivity, where natural stone becomes an instrument of welcome and visual continuity.
Rigo Marmi took part in the project by supplying selected stone materials and bespoke fabrication in Botticino Extra Light, chosen for its luminous tone and the natural subtlety of its pattern.
Three areas, a single material harmony
- The main entrance, clad in Botticino Extra Light, welcomes visitors with discretion and warmth.
- The interior staircases, precisely sculpted, maintain aesthetic consistency while enhancing the architectural geometries.
- The exterior paving, in bush-hammered Botticino, ensures safety, durability, and chromatic continuity with the interior spaces.
Every element was designed to contribute to a careful, intimate, and respectful atmosphere, in tune with the building’s mission: to provide care with gentleness.
