Rigo Marmi for Esselunga
Esselunga
- Rome
Natural material and compositional solidity for commercial architecture
In Rome’s retail architecture landscape, the project for the Esselunga store stands out for a design that is understated yet structured, where aesthetics and performance coexist in balance.
Rigo Marmi oversaw the supply and installation of the paving and exterior claddings, helping to build a visual identity consistent with the brand’s image.
A calibrated material language
The project develops across two macro-components that speak to one another through tone, texture, and durability:
- The exterior paving, in Fiorito Adriatico, combines strength and chromatic warmth, delivering reliability in high pedestrian traffic settings.
- The facades, clad with a pairing of Cotto and Serizzo Antigorio, offer a contemporary rereading of traditional materials, capable of providing robustness and visual recognizability.
Stone and function: a vision for contemporary retail
In a sector where material must meet stringent technical demands without compromising on aesthetics, the choice of stone becomes a design statement.
The combination delivered for Esselunga — Rome expresses continuity, identity, and a sense of belonging to the place, affirming the role of natural stone even in its dialogue with commercial architecture.
