European oak and bespoke detail for a place where material and cuisine speak to one another
Within the Luigi Rovati Foundation, in one of the most elegant historic palazzos on Corso Venezia, the Andrea Aprea Restaurant blends haute cuisine and design culture in a space that celebrates Italian excellence in every detail.
Conceived by two-Michelin-star chef Andrea Aprea, the restaurant is designed as an immersive, refined experience, where materiality is not simply a backdrop but an integral part of the gastronomic and architectural narrative.
Rigo Marmi delivered the flooring to the design of architect Flaviano Capriotti, contributing a living, authentic material deeply tied to the language of the place: European oak.
Parquet as a design gesture
For the flooring, the choice fell on a noble wood: European oak by Lignum Venetia, custom-fabricated in the “Smoked Mix” finish, with a medium-dark tone.
This wood speaks of elegance and character, giving the space a warm, material presence perfectly aligned with the identity of the place.
Details that tell a story
- The multi-width French-style installation, with irregular dimensions, creates visual depth and architectural dynamism while preserving a strong sense of authenticity.
- The parquet is prefinished, with a CFL-s1 fire resistance class, ensuring safety and durability without compromising on distinctive aesthetics.
The project delivers an enveloping, finely calibrated environment, where every step becomes part of a sensory journey in which cuisine, design, and material come together with precision and coherence.
