Bush-hammered Lipica: a material that unites aesthetics and function
In the Stone Island stores in Miami and Milan, architecture takes on a functional and symbolic role: translating the brand’s technical, urban, and experimental identity into physical space.
For these two flagships, Rigo Marmi handled the paving and claddings using a single material — bush-hammered Lipica — as an element of visual and material coherence.
One stone, two cities, a single vision
- Bush-hammered Lipica, with its lightly textured surface and neutral gray tone, conveys an essential and resilient language, in line with the brand’s industrial aesthetic.
- The use of the same stone in two distinct urban contexts reinforces Stone Island’s global identity, creating perceptual continuity and architectural uniformity between the international stores.
Details, installation, and design coherence
The project demanded maximum precision in fabrication and installation, to deliver a calibrated and robust materiality capable of sustaining daily foot traffic without losing expressive intensity.
The result is a coherent, technical, legible space: an architectural statement of intent that reflects the brand’s DNA through stone itself.
